Writing for government

What is good writing? We know it when we see it, but it’s not always easy to produce. This program provides the skills writers need to:

  • identify and replicate good writing techniques;
  • structure documents in a way that makes them easy to read;
  • avoid jargon and complex language;
  • comply with government Style Guides and templates;
  • master grammar and punctuation; and
  • proof read and edit their work, and the work of others.

Participants work on ‘live’ documents, and review their own work, to imbed newly learned skills.
